President Dr Lazarus Chakwera Hail’s the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian
President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has hailed the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian for its immense contribution to the social economic transformation of the country.
In his address at the CCAP General Assembly Centenary celebrations held at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe today, Chakwera acknowledged the church’s unquantifiable contributions in the areas of spiritual revival, education, health, and economic development in the past 100 years.
The President also underscored the church’s deep-rooted influence in the country’s independence and democratic journey, recognising its pivotal role in providing checks and balances for good governance.
The Moderator of the CCAP General Assembly, Rt Reverend Biswick Nkhoma, described the CCAP as a partner to government in development.
Nkhoma outlined the church’s contributions to community development, through evangelism, social justice, and human capital development.
